Final Hours + Whats Next!
about 1 month ago – Thu, May 07, 2026 at 11:54:29 AM

Happy final day of the campaign, Delvers! We have just under 8 hours left, and can't wait to finish out the day strong. As we are getting ready to close this campaign and move onto the Pledge Manager, today's update will be all about what's next. But before we get into that, some quick updates about the campaign while it is still live!

Final Campaign Notes

The campaign isn't over just yet! Early this morning, we unlocked the final stretch goal of the campaign, which is a final Buried Lord for the Buried Lords expansion.

This Buried Lord has an ongoing effect: Whenever you collect a ruin with at least 3 of your dice on it, also draw a Delver card! With that, we have officially unlocked all of the stretch goals for the campaign. Thank you for allowing us to make Unearth even cooler with more cards, rules updates and components.

Final Stream

Jillian is about to join Amanda Panda on stream to play the 10th Anniversary Edition of Unearth with the Buried Lords expansion! Head on over to Twitch or YouTube to watch in a few minutes!

What's Next?

With the campaign winding down, our team is starting the process on getting ready for the Pledge Manager (or PM for short) on BackerKit. To get more details on what a Pledge Manager is, please view our FAQ for the campaign. But don't worry if you're new to the Pledge Manager process, we'll have a whole update dedicated to using a Pledge Manager once we get closer to opening it up.

We'll aim to open up the PM on BackerKit in about a month. That's where you'll be able to edit your pledge, pay for shipping, and add more content from the Brotherwise catalog! We'll send out an update in about 3-4 weeks once we are sending out invites.

We'll keep the pledge manager open for a few months, and close it down once manufacturing is finished. So you'll be able to adjust your pledge and add on products for a while! For your friends and family that might have missed this campaign, let them know that once the pledge manager is open, we will be accepting late pledges! We can also handle address changes for quite a while. You'll put in your address when you first take the BackerKit survey, but know that you can go back into BackerKit and update your address all the way up until we lock addresses down; and that won't happen until very close to fulfillment.

Updates Every 4-6 Weeks

With the campaign coming to a close, we turn our focus to prepping the files for a smooth and quick handover to our production partners. From there, they'll begin printing, and we'll share more information on that process. You can expect status updates every 4 to 6 weeks. While things can get a little quiet in the comments, we'll try to keep an eye on them. If you need to reach us more directly, please do not hesitate to contact us using our support form.

Thanks again for such a wonderful campaign. We are truly grateful for you all and cannot wait to get Unearth in your hands!

One More Day!
about 1 month ago – Wed, May 06, 2026 at 02:17:20 PM

Hello, Delvers! Happy Wednesday.

We are officially in the last two days of the campaign. We've welcomed over 100 new backers today, and can't wait to welcome even more tomorrow! Since we usually have an influx of backers in the last two days of the campaign, we like to post a recap of what has happened in the last 2 weeks!

So Delvers, let's dive in!

Campaign Recap

What a fun 2 weeks it has been since we launched this campaign. As we've mentioned in pretty much all of our updates, we are extremely grateful for the support on this campaign. We can't wait to celebrate the 10th Anniversary Edition with you all when this is fulfilled in 2027! Fun fact: we have 36 first-time Kickstarter backers on this campaign! So thank you to those 36 backers that are taking their first dive onto Kickstarter with a Brotherwise Games campaign.

Stretch Goals

Over the course of the campaign, we have unlocked 11 stretch goals! We have unlocked 4 Delver cards and 3 Named Wonders for the base game, 2 Buried Lords and 2 Songs for Buried Lords, and Co-Op mode for The Lost Tribe!

But we aren't done yet! One final Buried Lord will be added to the expansion once we reach $105k in funding. And yes, we like to get a little meta with our stretch goals sometimes :-)

Daily Updates

Over the last 2 weeks, we have sent daily updates from Monday-Friday with more information about the game, and details on the stretch goals! Here are some of our favorites:

If you're wanting to see more, check out the previous 11 updates!

Closing Stream

Jillian will be joining Amanda Panda tomorrow at 12PM PST/3PM EST to close out the Kickstarter campaign for Unearth! Make sure to join if you're curious to see how the game plays at 3 players!

Thank You!

We'll be back tomorrow with our last update during the campaign! Tomorrow's update will have information about what's next, and what to expect for post-campaign updates.

Final Days!
about 1 month ago – Tue, May 05, 2026 at 02:07:38 PM

Happy Tuesday, Delvers! We are in the final days of the campaign. The team is currently working on closing out the Kickstarter, and already starting up early work on the Pledge Manager.

Stretch Goals

Overnight, we unlocked the Song of Stones at $90,000!

This means that Buried Lords is getting upgraded with two copies of this Delver card. This is a really fun Song to play because you get to place additional stones on the Ruin, and rolls of 1 are extra special since you'll be able to take 2 stones from the Ruin! We are already more than halfway there to our next stretch goal, which unlocks the Well of Scrying at $95,000!

We hope you have liked the cheeky titles for the stretch goals :-)

We have a couple of more stretch goals in mind before the campaign ends! So stay tuned!

Thank You!

The last playlist we are sharing comes from Plotweaver RPG Director Meric Moir! He is sharing The Chase from Groenland.

Have a great evening/afternoon/morning/day...wherever you are!

Co-op Mode Unlocked
about 1 month ago – Mon, May 04, 2026 at 02:43:37 PM

Happy Monday, Delvers! We hope you had a great weekend.

We are officially in the last week of this Kickstarter campaign. With over 1,500 backers on this campaign so far, we couldn't be more grateful for the continued support and excitement over this edition.

Over the weekend, we unlocked our co-op mode stretch goal, which is what this update is all about. So let's dive in!

Co-op Mode!

In ancient days, Delvers found a mysterious power source that they harnessed to fuel their sweeping cities, but as time was lost and cities buried, the power source devolved into the Decay and simmered beneath the ground. Now, as ancient stones are being unearthed by new bands of delvers, the Decay has been released and threatens to drag all of the world into the depths. It is only by working together that the Delver bands can save their lost history from its disrupting power.

In the new Co-op mode introduced for Unearth: The Lost Tribe, 1-3 players can work together to beat the  Decay, as it removes stones from the board and forges twisted crystals. Players will alternate turns with the Decay and combine their efforts to beat it once and for all.

The Lost Tribe expansion

The Decay

For those of you familiar with The Lost Tribe, you may be thinking, "I thought we were fighting against the Darkness in The Lost Tribe?" And you're not wrong! The Darkness has been updated to The Decay in the 10th Anniversary Edition to better reflect the mechanics of the solo/co-op mode.

The co-op rules don't add any new components to the solo mode, so for the folks backing to get the wooden tokens and upgrade pack on DriveThruCards upon the fulfillment of this campaign, you'll be able to play this with your original copy of The Lost Tribe! We'll post the rules on our website and BoardGameGeek.

Stretch Goals

Our next stretch goal is very close to getting unlocked!

Buried Lords will get upgraded with another Delver card to play on Ruins with the Song of Stones!

Thank You!

Today's playlist to play Unearth to is from CEO and Co-Founder Chris O'Neal! Chris chose Mahal from Glass Beams as his playlist!

Thanks again for supporting this campaign! We'll be back with an update tomorrow.

The Final Friday
about 1 month ago – Fri, May 01, 2026 at 02:06:42 PM

Hello, Delvers! Happy Friday and beginning of the weekend!

This'll be our last update of the week as our team heads into the weekend. We've said it before, but we'll say it again: Thank you for the continued support on this Kickstarter campaign. We are happy to see Unearth continue to shine, and can't wait till you all receive this awesome edition!

Stretch Goal Recap Week 1 & 2

Over the course of the campaign, we've unlocked 7 stretch goals for the game! We aren't done unlocking stretch goals just yet, but wanted to send out a reminder of what we've unlocked so far!

Look at all those stretch goals!

Thanks to our backers, we've unlocked:

  • 4 stretch goals for the base game
    • 2 new Delver cards (which equals 4 cards total since each Delver card has a copy!)
    • 2 new Named Wonders and accompanying token
  • 3 stretch goals for the Buried lords expansion
    • 2 new Buried Lords
    • 1 new Song (which equals 2 cards total since each Delver card has a copy!)

We have more plans as we head into the last week, so our next stretch goal is a special one!

At $85,000 we will unlock a brand new co-op mode for The Lost Tribe and a new Delver card for the base game. We'll have more information on this stretch goal in our update on Monday!

Next Week

We'll be entering our final week of the campaign next week! We have a closing stream scheduled for Thursday, May 7th with Amanda Panda at 12PM PT/3PM ET!

Thank You!

Today's Unearth playlist is from Brotherwise Creative Director and Co-Founder Johnny O'Neal! It features instrumental tracks from some of his favorite indie artists. Like Unearth, a lot of these songs start out mellow and atmospheric, but build to a crescendo.

We'll see you all on Monday!
